Welcome to Keeraya, a marketplace platform owned and operated by Deera Info System Pvt. Ltd. This Deletion Policy explains how users and sellers can request deletion of their Keeraya account and how personal information, listings, transaction records, and related data are handled after a deletion request.

This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, Seller Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy, Rental Policy, and Community Guidelines.

1. Purpose

This policy helps:

Explain how account deletion works for users and sellers.

Protect buyers, renters, sellers, and the platform.

Ensure compliance with applicable laws.

Clarify which records may be retained after deletion.

Maintain a safe and trustworthy marketplace.

2. User Account Deletion

A user may request deletion of their Keeraya account by:

Using the Account Deletion option available within the Keeraya application.

Contacting our support team at info@keeraya.com.

Before processing a deletion request, Keeraya may verify the identity of the user through mobile OTP verification or other reasonable verification methods.

After successful verification, the user account will be processed for deletion. Personal information such as name, mobile number, email address, profile photo, and address will be removed or anonymized, subject to the retention exceptions described in this policy.

Account deletion may not be processed immediately if the user has:

Pending orders.

Active rental bookings.

Pending payments or refunds.

Open disputes or complaints.

Ongoing fraud or legal investigations.

Unresolved obligations under applicable law.

3. Seller Account Deletion

A seller may request deletion of their seller account by using the Account Deletion option in the application or by contacting support at info@keeraya.com.

Before deleting a seller account, the seller must ensure that:

All active product listings are removed or deactivated.

All pending orders are fulfilled or cancelled as per policy.

All active rental bookings and returns are completed.

Security deposits, refunds, and pending buyer claims are settled.

Platform fees, commissions, or other dues are cleared.

No fraud, legal, or compliance investigation is pending.

Keeraya may delay or reject a seller deletion request until pending obligations, disputes, refunds, or legal requirements are resolved.

After successful verification and clearance of obligations, the seller account will be processed for deletion. Store information, product listings, product images, pricing, and inventory data will be removed or anonymized, subject to the retention exceptions described in this policy.

4. Data Retained After Deletion

Even after account deletion, Keeraya may retain certain limited information where required for:

Legal and regulatory compliance.

Accounting and tax records.

Order, payment, and transaction history.

Rental records and security deposit records.

Refund, cancellation, and dispute resolution.

Fraud prevention and platform security.

Enforcement of agreements.

Response to lawful requests from government authorities.

Retained information will be kept only for as long as necessary and will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

5. Effect of Account Deletion

After deletion:

The user or seller will no longer be able to access the deleted account.

Active listings and store information will be removed or made unavailable.

Account-related personal information will be removed or anonymized, subject to retention exceptions.

Order and transaction records may remain available for legal, accounting, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution purposes.

Reviews or ratings may be retained in anonymized form where required for marketplace integrity.

6. Deletion Requests That May Be Denied or Delayed

Keeraya may deny or delay a deletion request if:

The account is involved in an active dispute or complaint.

There are pending orders, rentals, refunds, or payments.

There is suspected fraud, abuse, or illegal activity.

There is a legal obligation to retain records.

The request cannot be verified.

The account is required for investigation or enforcement purposes.

In such cases, Keeraya will make reasonable efforts to inform the user or seller about the reason for the delay or denial, where legally permitted.

7. Verification and Security

To protect accounts from unauthorized deletion, Keeraya may require identity verification before processing any deletion request.

Users and sellers must not request deletion of another person account or provide false information during verification.

Any attempt to misuse the deletion process may result in account suspension or other enforcement action.

8. Appeals and Support

If a user or seller believes that a deletion request was handled incorrectly, they may contact Keeraya Support with relevant details.

Our team will review the request and communicate the final decision in accordance with applicable policies and laws.

9. Policy Updates

Deera Info System Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to update this Deletion Policy at any time.

Updated versions will be published within the Keeraya application and/or on our official website. Continued use of the platform after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
